Abu Darda reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Bring the orphan close to you, pat his head, and feed him with the same food you eat. It will soften your heart and fulfill your need.” (Maka’rim al akhlag 661)

The East Rand Welfare Centre is a CYCC that runs on an Islamic Ethos.

Non Profit

East Rand Welfare Centre is a Non-Profit Company which provides a safe refuge for aged O - 18 years up to 40 children (males).

Care

Children who have been abandoned, orphaned and found to be in need of care by the Children's Court.

Intake

Intake of children are between the ages of 00- 04 years old.

Our organisation came into existence in April 2019.

Our Vision

"Exemplifying our Islamic faith and values, we aim to provide for the welfare and protection of children regardless of who they are within a loving and caring environment until adulthood. To build self- esteem, self confidence and resilience so that they can become loving and responsible individuals who will be a contributing member to society".

Malik ibn Al-Harith reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever embraces an orphan of two Muslim parents by feeding him and giving him drink until he is independent of him, Paradise will certainly be necessary for him".
